What BioLife Plasma advertises

Per donation: $40 to $110 per visit

New donor offer: Commonly advertised up to about $900 for new donors

Operated by Takeda. Runs a Buddy Bonus for donor referrals.

This is the network's advertised range, not an offer from this centre. Promotions vary by location. Ring them to confirm what is running today.

Booking your visit

  1. Call the centre, or use BioLife Plasma's own site, to book your first appointment. We do not take bookings and we are not able to see their schedule.
  2. Bring photo ID, proof of your Social Security number, and proof of your current address.
  3. Expect the first visit to take noticeably longer than later ones, because it includes a medical history review and a physical examination.
  4. Eat properly and drink plenty of water beforehand. Being poorly hydrated is one of the most common reasons a donation gets stopped part way.

Before your first donation

At least 110 pounds, which is 50 kilograms. This is a federal requirement, not a centre preference. No more than twice in any seven day period, and never twice in the same two day window. That means a minimum of 48 hours between donations. A medical history review and a physical examination by a responsible physician on your first donation day, and at least once a year after that.
